God's protective hand has been so evident in this past week. I know I have probably hugged 100 people and shook 100 hands, at church and the funeral home. How I haven't gotten sick is a miracle. We have seen so many things that absolutely had to be the hand of God. Ask us about it all, and we'll tell you.
We are now resting at Janis' and Don's house (our home away from home). We have appointments on Monday. We will be seeing our treatment doctor and discussing possible options for the future. We have pretty much decided at the least that there will not be a second round of doxorubicin! Please pray that God will direct our steps and reveal His will to us.
Today is Good Friday. The greatest event in the history of mankind was unfolding on this day twenty centuries ago. We have so much to celebrate. We hope the magnificence of the Easter story will fill your and our hearts this weekend.
Shan and Stef, we really miss you.

Hey you two! I have been reading your blog off and on all day! Pretty amazing. I bet you do have a lot of people calling, texting :) , emailing...now bloging! Way cool! We look forward to when you two are home and able to come over again. We have a blast with you guys. Augustine will have to whip us up some chicken fried steak...as Shan said so eloquently, "dalish!". I will try not to eat all the rolls next time. I thought I was going to have wrestle Stef for the last one. I was prepared! We can battle in karaoke and then for the finally, Kenny doing standup!
In closing, I want to pray for you. Father God, thank you for your son's blood. Thank you for taking our place so we can live with you forever! Thank you for your healing rain. Thank you for wrapping your arms around Kenny & Helen and holding them so close to you. Glory is yours, Father God! We praise your holy name. Thank you Jesus! Thank you for the blood. We plead the blood of Jesus for Kenny. Thank you for restoring his health. Glory is yours! Thank you Jesus! We sing holy, holy, holy! Praise your name. Thank you Jesus. We love you and exalt you. Thank you for Helen's strength and endurance. Thank you for the love Kenny & Helen have for one another, for you. It reflects the love Jesus has for the church, for us! Thank you for the example they set for us. Thank you for being with them, saving Kenny & Helen. Thank you for taking great delight in them, quieting them with your love, rejoicing over them. Thank you for the blessings you are pouring onto them. For these things, in the name of Jesus, we pray without ceasing. Love you...Amen!
Have an awesome day tomorrow! Thank you for loving us. We love you greatly!

I am so glad that you soon we will heading home to Big Spring. You both have such a great unwavering faith. It has brought your family closer to each other and to God.
I am continuing to pray for you and know that God has great plans for both of you. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on thine own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path." Proverbs 3:5-6
I love you very much.
Your brother,
I came accross your blog while searching for a domain for a new blog for me and was inspired by the dialogue on your blog. It sounds like you or someone in your family has struggled or is struggling with cancer. My younger brother had leukemia 14 years ago and like you, our family and friends came together in prayer. The Lord healed him and our lives have not been the same! But I wanted to share with you that in addition to the prayers, my brother also changed his lifestyle to keep his mind and body healthy. I encourage you to learn as much as you can about nutrition and how the Lord designed our bodies to heal themselves through proper diet. We've learned so much about nutrition in the last 15 years and there are amazing new discoveries you'll not hear through mainstream media. Simply speaking, however, eating fresh fruits and vegetables and staying away from processed foods, sugar dairy and most meats is the best way to keep your body's immune system strong. Anyway, may God bless you as you follow his leading in your life.
