We are just about to leave the clinic and head home. Dr. Mita said that the scans showed no new tumors anywhere, but one of them, the largest one, shows a little bit of growth. The others appear to be the same. We are definitely not going to continue the Doxorubicin treatment. We discussed three treatment options, one which would involve treatment with two conventional chemos that are generally tolerated better than the one I had. The other two options involve experimental drugs in very early stage. We did not decide on anything today. We have paperwork for the options to review and pray over, and we will see Dr. Mita again in two weeks. She was not willing to give us longer than that.
We are watching it rain hard here. I am going to go out and stand in it, I think. We are going to find a place to eat and then get on the road home. We appreciate all of you and continue to ask you to pray as we continue to face these decisions.
Love you all,
Kenny and Helen

Just as God has been leading and guiding you, he will this time also. Over and over again he shows himself faithful and true. Ya'll such awesome examples for us because you continue to follow God's lead instead of taking off on your plan. I pray that God will continue to bless you as he has been so faithfully.
We love you both very much.

It is amazing that every step we take God is there holding our hand or sometimes picking us up and carrying us. We would not expect any different. Thank you for the update. You are and will remain in our prayers. We love you both so much and I praise God for His faithfulness. God is good-all the time. Anxious to see you at home.

Standing in the rain, huh? That image reminds me of one of my favorite verses, 1 John 3:1. "How great is the love that the Father lavishes on us that we may be called children of God because that is what we are." I looked up the root of the word lavish one time. It comes from the same root as lavatory and means something like" to wash over". I think that is such a great word to describe Gods love for us. Washing over us like we're standing under a waterfall; so much that it overwhelms us. I pray that you will be overwhelmed by God's love and power. We still believe in miracles. We love you.

from the fellas as the wwtp god bless , and have a safe trip home
Don't we all need to take the time to stand in the rain? Life is so busy we let wonderful moments like that just pass us right by. It sprinkled here last night and I was doing all I could to stay out of it. My hair might get wet you know! Enjoy every moment that God allows you to see His wonders. How exciting a thought to just stand in the rain, recklessly abandoned to God - knowing He has you in the palm of his hand. I love you both and I am praying for you. Tracy
Sending prayers while I'm in Washington D.C. with Doug and Aubrie. Now you know prayers are being said around the U.S. for you and your family!
Love ya'll!
Hi Kenny & Helen,
I am catching up on your blog. We got home this afternoon from our 8 day trip to Kerrville to the Texas Woodcarvers Spring rally.
It is so good to have the blog to stay up to date on all that is going on with y'all.
We will continue to pray. We do love you two. :-)
